Mark and Anita Rodgers have been in the steakhouse business since 1983, starting out in Chandler, Oklahoma at Rodgers Pizza & Steak. After raising three boys in that area, the Rodgers decided to relocate to Colorado.
In December of 2000 they opened Shiloh Steakhouse on 5 Veach Street, Cortez, where they have raised their fourth child, a daughter.
A large presence of the steakhouse is the Shiloh logo & sign. In the Hebrew Bible, Shiloh is referred to as the promised land. Looking at the logo, the peaceful scene depicts a mountain man coming to a rendezvous; a gathering of Indians and traders, in which all come together in harmony.
We at Shiloh Steakhouse like to think our restaurant is a place for friends and family to come together.
“The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet,
until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”
Shiloh Steakhouse expands this philosophy into the dining area itself – indoors, you will find yourself in a lovingly decorated home, with a fireplace, cozy rooms, and a banquet area featuring Route 66 memorabilia. Our hidden garden houses a dining patio where you can dine by the pond and listen to the peaceful sounds of a waterfall. Your meal may be accompanied by the sound of birds singing in the trees in the early evening.
